Every year during the Movies that Matter Festival, there is a special educational programme.
During the festival, educational screenings for secondary school pupils and senior secondary vocational education students will be staged in the city centre of Amsterdam and The Hague.
Film has proven to be an efficient way of involving young people in human rights and in society at large. It is no wonder, therefore, that the educational programme is highly appreciated by pupils, who give it an average rating between 7.5 and 8.7.
After each film the audience has the opportunity to discuss the content with the director and/or an expert.
Free teaching aids are available in order to prepare and/or discuss the screenings in class. Please click on this link to see examples of these aids. The film screenings and the teaching aids match various school subjects.
