Apart from the Movies that Matter Festival and its education programme Movies that Matter stages film screenings throughout the Netherlands, followed by expansion programmes that take the form of introductions, debates or Q&A sessions with the director of the film. To this end, Movies that Matter works together with a host of cultural and social organisations.
Every year, Movies that Matter hosts a theme-based afternoon to put the spotlight on a number of human rights documentaries at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), the world’s biggest documentary festival. Read more.
Together with a wide array of social and cultural institutions, as well as private individuals and educational establishments, Movies that Matter organises film screenings followed by expansion programmes.
