Movies that Matter @ IDFA 2012

On Sunday November 18th, Movies that Matter presented a programme at the 25th edition of IDFA. The programme consisted of three gripping documentaries, followed by q&a's with the directors and other guests.

Part 1

12.00 -14.00 hrs:  Camp 14: Total Control Zone

A reveiling film by director Marc Wiese in which Shin Dong-Hyuk describes his youth that he spent in a North Korean labour camp. He managed to escape at the age of 22.

Part 2

14.30 - 16.00 hrs  The Reluctant Revolutionary

In this documentary director Sean McAllister takes us  to  Jemen at the start of the revolution..

Part 3

16.30 - 18.00 hrs Where Heaven Meets Hell
Director Sasha Friedlander portraits four Indonesian mineworkers that have to work under extremely harsh conditions on an active vulcano on the island of Java..
