children in her class what they want to be when they grow up, seven-year-old
Alex offers a surprising and worrying answer.
The profession Alex chooses
isn’t actually a profession at all, and the boy doesn’t fully understand what
the word means. The teacher tries to explain it to the children, drawing on
experiences from her own painful past to help the children understand this
highly sensitive ‘adult word’.
