Anna, Ole, Fred en Peter share a special job: as members of the Human Rights Watch emergency team they are rapidly dispatched to investigate human rights abuses in war zones. Exciting documentary that provides an insight into the human rights record of Syria and Libya, but also into the private lives of the investigators.
Specially trained to work in war zones, the E-Team flies to hotbeds to hear witnesses of human rights abuses. They collect crucial evidence and try to prevent offenders from remaining unpunished or even unseen.
The camera closely follows the team as they put their lives in jeopardy crossing the border between Turkey and Syria. Dodging bullets, Anna and her colleagues record the testimonies of civilians who are struck by the conflict. We see Fred and Peter in Libya investigating the violence and chaos after the fall of Muammar Khadaffi. We also get a glimpse of the team members at home. In Paris, Anna and Ole do their best to combine their busy job with family life, which is not always easy. At the end of the film we see Anna, who has just given birth, answering questions from a journalist on the phone.
