The Yes Men are back! Andy and Mike set off for new adventures to point heads of government to their responsibility for climate change. Again, they attract media coverage by hilarious acts and courageous confrontations. But just how effective is their activism?
Over the last two decades, the notorious Yes Men have been pulling off hilarious stunts and jokes, wearing ludicrous suits and pretending to be who they are not in order to challenge CEOs and heads of government. Armed with self-made outfits, false badges and a total lack of shame the men talk their way into every building.
After The Yes Men and The Yes Men Fix the World Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno show a more personal side in this third opus. Their activism has taken its toll in terms of friendships, relations and job perspectives. Both approaching their forties, they review their priorities in life. Mike has less time for campaigning since the birth of his child, and Andy faces relational problems. The men also scrutinise the effect of their campaigns to see whether all those mad initiatives have really paid off. Or is it simply impossible to change the world using this form of activism?
