Five distinguished guests choose a significant ‘Movie That Matters’ which they believe everyone should have seen. Micha Wertheim, Hanna Verboom, Sylvana Simons, Linda Polman and Sanne Vogel have each chosen a film and they will explain their choice during the festival.
Micha Wertheim’s pick: Bogota Change. He says about the film: "Is populism always evil, or can a charismatic politician using political symbolism change a problematic city into a healthy community?"
An exciting and rapidly edited portrait of a city that has risen like a phoenix from the ashes. Bogotá, capital of Colombia, was long notorious as one of the most criminal, dangerous, and inhospitable cities in the world. The turnabout came in 1995, when Antalas Mockus was elected mayor of the city in a landslide victory.
