After the screening arabist Petra Stienen will talk to activist Janine di Giovanni, director Robert Rippberger and Syrian photographer Fouad Hallak.

The film 7 Days in Syria follows journalist Janine di Giovanni and photographer Nicole Tung on their trip to the war-torn country in late 2012. It tells compelling stories of everyday Syrians and from the front line, but also a story about journalism and sacrifice. Robert Rippberger is a producer/director with a diverse array of creative and executive experience. He has made over three dozen short films, music videos, documentaries, and features that have reached millions of viewers worldwide.

Fouad Hallak is a Syrian photographer and refugee from Syria. 

Maarten Zeegers lived in Syria for several years and wrote a book about it.

Petra Stienen is a Dutch Arabist and writer.
