Q&A about the mysterious world of the dark web, information protection, hacking and fighting cybercrime with cryptographer Prof.Dr. Tanja Lange (TU Eindhoven) and Europol's Senior Cybercrime Analyst Philipp Amann.
Prof.Dr. Tanja Lange has published more than 60 research papers bridging the gaps between algebraic geometry, theoretical cryptography, and real-world information protection. She is an expert on curve-based cryptography and post-quantum cryptography. In 2006 she joined Technische Universiteit Eindhoven as Full Professor.
Philipp Amann is the Senior Strategic Analyst at Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre (EC3). His team is responsible for providing forward-looking and strategic assessments as well as trend analysis and future trend predictions in the area of cybercrime. Before joining EC3, Philipp was the technical focal point for cybercrime of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s Department for Transnational Threats.
The Q&A will be led by Strategic Studies analyst Doutje Lettinga. Dr. Lettinga holds a PhD in Sociology and Master degrees in History and International Relations. She currently works as Analyst of Strategic Studies, an initiative of Amnesty International Netherlands.
