Erna Rijsdijk is Lecturer of Military Ethics at the Netherlands Defence Academy. She studied International Politics and published her PhD thesis Lost in Srebrenica: Responsibility and Subjectivity in the Reconstructions of a Failed Peacekeeping Mission in 2012. She is currently involved in research projects on ethics and international politics, gender and security and image warfare.
Lieutenant-Colonel Bart van den Bosch is a Lecturer of Military Law at the Netherlands Defence Academy (NLDA). He has 15 years of experience as military legal advisor and operational experience in Angola, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iraq, Macedonia, Afghanistan and South-Sudan. He also serves part-time as public prosecutor at the District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Arnhem.
Journalist Harm Ede Botje works for Dutch magazine Vrij Nederland (VN) with a special focus on asylum, integration , climate , energy, environment & sustainability and foreign policy . Prior to joining VN, he was an editor for the VPRO radio program Argos, a reporter for Radio 1 News and freelancer at the VARA radio. Botje made reportages in Darfur, Afghanistan, Mexico, Argentina, Turkey, Rwanda, Indonesia, South Africa, Tanzania, Pakistan, Peru, Guatemala, Iraq, Morocco, Egypt, Israel and the occupied territories. He studied Law at the University of Amsterdam (UvA).
