Zaal 1, Filmhuis Den Haag
In cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Movies that Matter organizes a film program on sustainability, called "Climate at Stake".
The objective is to draw attention to current sustainability issues, through a 'Movies that Matter-selection'. The program consists of three films, selected in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
After the film there will be a discussion with Marcel Beukeboom, Climate Envoy for the Netherlands, about the role of the government on climate change.
The conversation is moderated by Froukje Jansen.
Marcel Beukeboom has been appointed as Climate Envoy in November 2016, at the same moment the Paris Agreement came into effect. As the dedicated climate representative of the Netherlands he participates in fora like COPs, G20, and several subgroups and dialogues. With ‘Paris’ entering its implementation phase, Marcel also has a role in building national networks and coalitions, translating the agreement into concrete results.
