Moderator Sofia Stolk will talk with director Jean van de Velde and South-African writer Palesa Mazamisa about the film Bram Fischer and about law and justice in South-Africa.
Jean van de Velde is an acclaimed Dutch film director and screenwriter. His films Wit Licht (the Silent Army) and Hoe Duur was de Suiker (The Price of Sugar) were part of earlier Movies that Matter selections. Palesa Mazamisa is a writer, playwriter, film producer and essayist based in Johannesburg, South-Africa. She is one of the organizers of the Mzansi Women’s Film Festival in Johannesburg. Sofia Stolk is coordinator of the Camera Justitia programme and researcher at the Transnational Legal Studies department, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
