Foyer, Theater aan het Spui
On Friday 20 March the talsk show COLOURS will take place at the foyer of Theater aan het Spui. Entrance is free.
Are you colourblind? Or do you judge a book by its cover? Questions like these are raised in a film & debate programme featuring four ccolourful fiction films and one remarkable documentary, in the section named COLOURS. The films in this programme zoom in on discrimination, racism and ethnic profiling.
Is police discrimination a structural problem in The Netherlands or just incidents? Why is the position of non-Western immigrants in the labor market far worse than that of native Dutch? And what about our own prejudices?
Guests are Dutch politician Ahmed Marcouch, researcher Sinan Cankaya, Gerbrig Klos of Amnesty International, representatives Actiecomité Herstel van Vertrouwen and Hans Nieuwstraten, director of Operations Police Unit in The Hague.
