Q&A with Anna Neistat, moderated by Simon Bateson.
Russian human rights researcher Anna Neistat is one of the protagonists in the film. The film crew captured her personal and professional life in her function as Associate Director for Program and Emergencies at Human Rights Watch. She has since joined Amnesty International as a Senior Director of Research. Together with Ole Solvang, Senior Emergencies Researcher at Human Rights Watch, and their two children, she resides in Paris. Anna will attend the Movies that Matter Festival to speak about her career, the making-of the film and how the work of human rights organisations can contribute to fighting injustice and promoting global change.
The Q&A will be led by Simon Bateson. He is the founder and artistic director of Take One Action, which organises annual festivals in different places all over Scotland. Bateson is driven by a passion for great cinema and positive social change. He has worked extensively across media, film, community empowerment and outreach for a number of years.
