Sir Geoffrey Nice will present the Camera Justitia Master Class about criminal law and international justice. At the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Sir Geoffrey Nice led the prosecution of Slobodan Milošević. On the basis of film fragments Sir Geoffrey Nice will look back at his time at the ICTY.
He will also speak about obtaining legal evidence in conflict situations, the value of the term genocide and the future of international criminal law. The master class will be moderated by criminologist Dr. Frederiek de Vlaming, researcher and lecturer at the University of Amsterdam.
Movies that Matter invites professionals and students of law, international relations and social sciences to participate in this master class. The event starts at 3.30 pm. Entrance is free.
