Recent news about the film 9999 which had its Dutch premiere at the Movies that Matter Festival 2015.
9999 portrays the critical situation of mentally ill criminals in Belgian prisons. Belgium has been convicted several times by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and in a new conviction 9999 is used as one of the arguments. It is the first time in the history of the ECHR that a film is not only a trigger to a conviction but also becomes included as an argument to the conviction.
A great example of the impact of films that matter!
