On the last day of the festival, Wednesday March 30, the festival presents a few special screenings you should not miss. The film The Oath in combination with a concert, Silent Snow followed by a Q&A with the direcor and the screening of the audience favorite, with a Q&A with the director who comes especially for this occasion to The Hague.
After Silent Snow, at 17.00 hrs, Ardy Stemerding (reporter of Ochtendspits and nominated for the Philip Bloemendal Prize 2010) interviews filmmaker Jan van den Berg.
Following the screening of the much-praised documentary The Oath at 19.30 hrs, telling the story of Osama Bin Laden's former bodyguard, prominent British jazz pianist and composer Gwilym Simcock, backed by his quartet and the Dario Fo choir, performs I Prefer the Gorgeous Freedom. The piece is based on lyrics composed by a former Guantánamo Bay detainee.
