Festival Tip: 'Russian Libertine' with Q&A afterwards
Russian author and dissident Victor Erofeyev, portrayed in the film Russian Libertine calls himself the 'freest man in Russia'. He grew up as the son of a rich diplomat in the Soviet era, but renounced his origins and became a critic of the Russian state. Author Victor Erofeyev (1947) is one of the many critics of the Russian state, which would rather silence him. At the moment Victor Erofeyev is a guest at the Movies that Matter Festival in The Hague. This afternoon, at 16.45 hrs, he will be present at the screening of Russian Libertine at Theater aan het Spui 2. Afterwards there will be a Q&A with Erofeyev and the director of the film, Ari Matikainen.
