'Call Me Kuchu' with Debate
Tonight at 19.30 hrs at Theater aan het Spui 2 come to the screening of Call Me Kuchu, about David Kato, one of the first declared homosexuals in Uganda, a country in which homosexuality is a criminal offence and the rights of the LGBT community are violated. Together with a group of like-minded people, Kato fights the violence against gays in his country, until fate strikes and a shockwave of disbelief spreads across the planet. Former politician and jurist Boris Dittrich will provide an introduction. Afterwards there will be a debate in the foyer of Theater aan het Spui on Lesbien, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) rights in Uganda, moderated by Boris Dittrich. Directors Malika Zouhali-Worrall and Katherine Fairfax Wright and activist from the film, Frank Mugisha will be present.
