"I do not talk about politics. To screen the film is enough" , says Joke Baert. Baert
works for Fundacion Pachamama in Ecuador and organises Cine Amazónico, a
traveling film festival focusing on the rights of the inhabitants of the Amazon
region. The festivals screens films that would otherwise remain unseen, films that cause debate and even lead to protests.
Movies that Matter supports this festival that starts in late October and will be traveling for a couple of months along seven major cities in Ecuador.
