The main aim of A Common Future Human Rights Film and Arts Festival, taking place from 15-22 July 2014, is to bring attention to women’s rights. After three successful editions in Bamenda, the festival moves to Fundong, a small town some 70 kilometers away. The festival organises grassroots film screenings, discussion programmes and stand-up comedy in popular community halls, schools and café’s. The United Nations supports the festival by moderating the panel discussions. Cinema Numerique Ambulante takes care of the logistics. The University of Washington will carry out an evaluation of the impact of the festival. The organisers expect to see 8,000 visitors.
