Are you planning to organise a film event with human rights film screenings in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, or the Middle East?
Looking for funding? Apply!
Movies that Matter offers small grants and assistance to promote the screenings of human rights cinema worldwide. These events can take various forms, such as mobile cinema projects, human rights film festivals, travelling film festivals, outreach programmes, and educational activities at schools and universities.
Please note that Movies that Matter does not support film production.
Film screenings must contribute to discussion about human rights in the country or region in question. Projects must take place in one of the countries on the DAC List of ODA recipients or countries where press freedom is at stake.
Please note that the maximum grant amount has changed. Movies that Matter now offers grants up to EUR 7,500.
The next deadline for applications is Monday 15 September 2014.
