The documentary The Supreme Price by director Joanna Lipper is officially selected for the Movies that Matter Festival, that will take place from 20-28 March in The Hague. The film tells the story of Hafsat Abiola, daughter of M.K.O. Abiola, who was elected president of Nigeria in 1993 and was imprisoned by the army. His wife, human rights defender Kudirat Abiola, was killed. Hafsat continues to face the challenge of transforming a corrupt culture of governance into a democracy capable of serving Nigeria's most marginalized population: women.
The festivalprogramme and screening dates will be online at the end of February. The tickets sale start at 5 March.
