From January till May  2010 theatres throughout the country, being:  Kriterion-Amsterdam, Focus-Arnhem, Vera Zienema-Groningen, Filmhuis Den Haag-Den Haag, Lumiere-Maastricht, Lantaren/Venster-Rotterdam, Louis Hartlooper Complex-Utrecht, de Lieve Vrouw in Amersfoort en 't Beest in Goes, presented various films from the Movies that Matter Festival programme.

In the month of February and March the documentaries Suddenly, Last Winter and Weapon of War were screened. 
During the month of April, a special festivaledition of Upload Cinema toured the country.
Dreaming Nicaragua was shown in May, as part of the Latin American Film Festival. The director of the film, Marcello Bukin, attended various screenings.
