‘How to become a good Tahrir Square protester'
Egyptian human rights defender Sameh Saeid sheds light on campaigning in the context of the Arab Spring. Saeid has founded Hoqook.com, an organisation that trains demonstrators to voice their opposition in the most effective and legally sound manner. The teachings focus on the dissemination of messages through social media, one of the main weapons for protesters involved in the Arab Spring. He was among the informal protest leaders during the revolution.
During the workshop, Sameh will give full details about the training courses received by demonstrators, what instruments they dispose of to support the revolution and whether these instruments remain within the boundaries of the law. He will also explain how to become a good Tahrir Square protester.
