Director Keren Shayo, activist Meron Estefanos and UN chairman of the Human Rights committee Sir Nigel Rodley will have a discussion after the movie about the role of international community in stopping this inhuman practices. Moderator: Christiaan Mommers.

Meron Estefanos is an Eritrean journalist and human rights activist. She is a contributor to the leading Eritrean diaspora news site Asmarino and a presenter for Radio Erena. Estefanos is the co-founder of the International Commission on Eritrean Refugees, an advocacy organization for the rights of Eritrean refugees, victims of trafficking, and victims of torture. She actively campaigns for freedom and democracy in her country, which has suffered under the dictatorship of Isaias Afwerki since 1993. Read more about Meron Estefanos.

Keren Shayo is a writer, cinematographer and director. Earlier documentaries she contributed to as a cinematographer are María en tierra de nadie in 2011 and Ha-Plitim in 2008.

Nigel Rodley has been a member of the UN Human Rights Committee since 2001, having served as  UN Special Rapporteur on Torture from 1993 to 2001. He is also a Commissioner of the International Commission of Jurists. Professor Rodley has taught human rights and international law at the University of Essex since 1990 when he was appointed as Reader in Law.
