Dutch TV presentor Sipke Jan Bousema talks to directors Jim Chuchu and Wangechi Ngugi and the famous Jamaican LGBTI activist Maurice Tomlinson about the state of LGBTI activism in Kenya and Jamaica.

How can the Dutch government (and others) help with the emancipation of LGBTI rights in the homelands of these activists?

Jim Chuchu lives and works in Nairobi, Kenya. Jim is a visual artist, filmmaker and musician from Nairobi, Kenya. He is also co-founder and Creative Director at the NEST - a multidisciplinary art space in Nairobi, and a member of the NEST Collective.

Njoki Ngumi is campaign leader by the Kenian art collective The NEST.

Best known for his work as a television presenter, Sipke Jan Bousema is a man of many talents. Over the years he starred in film and television shows, worked as a voice-over and a voice actor, developed his own television formats, directed and produced for television and the theatre, and much more. Together with director Marieke Slinkert he made the documentary Strijders voor de Liefde about the daily struggle for equal rights that many LGBTI's all over the world face each day.
