ENG: Camera Justitia

Camera Justitia is our competition programme with eight impressive films (both fiction and documentary) and post-programs on legal dilemmas, truth-finding, international law and the fight against impunity.

During the Movies that Matter Festival 2018 (23-31 March), an international jury awarded the Golden Butterfly Camera Justitia Award and € 5,000 to director Alberto Arnaut for his documentary Armed to the Teeth.

This year's Camera Justitia jury consisted of Anne Marie Stordiau (Counsellor for Justice and Security, Dutch Embassy in London), Caroline Fournet (Professor comparative criminal law and international justice, University of Groningen), Jenny Hellmann (winner Camera Justitia Award 2017), Necati Sönmez (film critic, filmmaker and founder Documentarist Istanbul Documentary Days), Matt Cannock (head of Amnesty International's Centre for International Justice).

Camera Justitia is realized through the support of the principle partner vfonds. The masterclass is organized in collaboration with the T.M.C. Asser Institute.
