The wife of Zagros, a young Kurdish shepherd, is accused of adultery. She flees the village and goes to Brussels, together with her daughter. Zagros is convinced that she has been unjustly accused and sets off after her. Once in Brussels, Zagros begins to have doubts.

Zagros is a young shepherd who lives in the mountains of Turkish Kurdistan with his family. When his wife Havin is accused of adultery by his family, he is unsure what to believe. Havin decides to take their nine-year-old daughter and flee to Belgium, where a second cousin of hers lives. Zagros wants to believe in her innocence and sets off after her. But once he arrives there, it becomes clear that Havin had not told the complete truth and Zagros begins to have doubts. He is forced to choose between his love for his wife and the honour of his family. It is a choice that becomes more difficult over time and slowly drives Zagros into despair.

Zagros is the movie debut by Belgian-Kurdish filmmaker Sahim Omar Kalifa, which landed him the Grand Prix of the Ghent International Film Festival, amongst other awards.
