Uplifting documentary about one of the world’s most ambitious projects against climate change: the Great Green Wall of trees which spans the entire African continent. Malian musician Inna Modja takes us along this beautiful structure, on an epic journey through countries such as Senegal, Mali, Nigeria and Ethiopia.

‘How can we create an African dream?’ asks Malian musician Inna Modja. Seeing her native Sahel region confronted with climate change, she doesn’t want to look the other way. Modja undertakes an epic journey along Africa’s ‘Great Green Wall’: a stretch of trees and vegetation along 8.000 kilometers from Senegal to Djibouti. When completed, the project will be the largest living structure on earth.

On the road, Inna Modja talks to the many people she meets. She asks them about their dreams, their vision of the future, and about the way climate change affects their lives. She hooks up with local musicians such as Songhoy Blues, Didier Awadi and Betty G, resulting in exciting collaborations. Filled with beautiful images of the Sahel and its inhabitants.
