After the screening Chris Keulemans will talk to director Robert Rippberger. 

The film 7 Days in Syria follows journalist Janine di Giovanni and photographer Nicole Tung on their trip to the war-torn country in late 2012. It tells compelling stories of everyday Syrians and from the front line, but also a story about journalism and sacrifice. Robert Rippberger is a producer/director with a diverse array of creative and executive experience. He has made over three dozen short films, music videos, documentaries, and features that have reached millions of viewers worldwide.

Chris Keulemans was artistic director of the Tolhuistuin till fall 2014. He grew up in Baghdad, Iraq. In 1984 he founded the literary bookshop Perdu in Amsterdam. During the nineties he worked at De Balie, Centre for culture and politics in Amsterdam, first as a curator, later as director. He has published books, fiction and nonfiction, and has published numerous articles on art, social movements, migration, music, cinema and war for national newspapers.
