Maribor Uprisings: Q&A with directors Maple Razsa & Milton Guillén

Maribor Uprisings: A Live Participatory Film, The

Language: Engels

Directors Maple Razsa and Milton Guillén bring the audience of MtM along to a large protest in the Slovenian city Maribor. Then they ask questions: will you join the protesters or will you stay behind and watch from a distance?

Maple Razsa is an anthropologist and filmmaker. Through film and script he allows the audience to experience what it's like to be part of a social movement. He co-created the film with Milton Guillén. Guillén explores the boundaries between documentary and fiction and, in his own words, tries to create a sensory experience. The result of their cooperation is Maribor Uprisings. This interactive film presents choices to the audience, each decision followed by a new, different choice. Therefore, both screenings at MtM are guaranteed to be a unique event.
