TV presenter Milouska Meulens talks with activist Jaha Dukureh and director Patrick Farrelly about the impressive battle against FGM in the Gambia and Africa. Recently Jaha Dukureh has been appointed as UN regionall goodwill ambassador. Marisa Abdulgani was born in Somalia and not genitially mutilated. Currently she is a nurse in The Hague and has a weekly anonymous consultation hour for female who have been mutilated. We will talk about her experiences. 

Jaha Dukureh has overcome a lot. She was mutilated as a very young baby and at 15 she was trapped in a forced marriage in a foreign country. But now, still in her twenties, she made the Time 100 List of the world’s most influential people for her campaign to end female genital mutilation. ‘I needed to tell people the truth.’ Read more about the battle of Jaha Dukureh and watch a short clip.
