ENG: Second Sex

All oppression creates a state of war ― Simone de Beauvoir

For the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, men and women have the same rights. But women worldwide are subordinated, varying from sexual oppression in Iran to inequality in the labor market in the West. The difference in treatment between men and women is sometimes open and visible, but even more often an unnoticed part of the culture, language and system.

In this program the inequality of men and women is put central. Where the woman is not a willless victim, but opposes the visible and invisible deprivation and oppression. We will discuss the unequal treatment of men and women, with films and conversations about the resistance against visible and invisible discrimination and oppression.
