Bajo Nuestra Piel

Bajo Nuestra Piel

November 01, 2018

The Bajo Nuestra Piel festival will touch upon Bolivia’s most pressing and topical human rights issues, like domestic violence, rights of indigenous people, access to health care and access to justice. The festival kicks off in three different neighbourhoods in La Paz in November 2018, and then continues with programmes in El Alto (December 2018), Tarija (March 2019) and Coroico (April 2019). Being successful in attracting 17.000 visitors last year, the Bajo Nuestra Piel is back for another edition, now attempting to reach 20.000 people. This year cooperation has been sought with UNIFRANZ University, which allows the festival to enter campuses and reach students in either Cochabamba or Santa Cruz as well. By reaching out to audiences in so many places, the festival hopes to promote media literacy and to contribute to a culture of peace with respect for diversity and identity.
