Movies that Matter brings films to Dutch embassies worldwide

December 03, 2019

From Nairobi to Washington DC and Islamabad: in the context of the International Day of Human Rights, around 45 Dutch embassies worldwide will be showing human rights films from Movies that Matter in the period around December 10th! This year we offer the embassies a film menu consisting of Facing the Dragon, The Feeling of Being Watched, Layla M., Rafiki, The Trial of Ratko Mladic and / or Unpaved Road to Peace. In addition to the film screening, the embassies generally organise an introduction or debate about the films’ subject matters, inviting representatives from local businesses, the academic world and/or NGOs.

Check in with your local Dutch embassy to see if a Movies that Matter screening is also being organized in your area.

In cooperation with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
