'The Red Chapel' free of charge for students

March 26, 2010

The screening of The Red Chapel, Friday at 21.30 hrs is part of the Students' Choice programme. Students can attend this screening for free.

In The Red Chapel we follow Danish comedians Simon and spastic Jacob, born in South Korea. They are authorized to perform a variety act in North Korean Pyongyang within the scope of a cultural exchange. Fooling the propaganda machine turns out to be more complicated than they thought, however. An account of a grotesque undertaking.

Students have their own competition programme at the Movies that Matter Festival. Students' Choice was created in 2009 together with De Haagse Hogeschool (The Hague University). A jury made up of five students chose three films out of a pre-selection taken from the festival programme. This year's selection consists of Mugabe and the White African, Reporter and The Red Chapel.

Owners of a student card can obtain free entrance tickets for the screenings by presenting their student card at the cash desk. Reserving is still recommended.

Students' Choice is organised in cooperation with de Haagse Hogeschool.
